Oh man the last post for 2010!!

What can I say that's already been said for this year? I've had up's and down's..then went sideways on somethings. I have to say this was probably one of the defining years of my life. From getting into my college major (Thank GOD!) to maturing more than I imagine, I can say it wasn't THAT bad of a year.

Of course, there are somethings I would and could take back, but you know what? I wouldn't trade them if I had the chance. In the end, they defined what 2010 was all about. Mistakes and good decisions all come together to make this year one to not forget.

If I had to categorize this year, I would say it would be in 3rd place behind 2008 and 1990. Obviously, 1990 was when I was born, but with 2008, I graduated from high school, because self-aware of what I had to do in life, and I got accepted to one of the best schools in the USA, Pennsylvania State University. It was one of those years I could replay if I had to, but it'll leave it's place in my life to define who I am today and in the future.

Here's to 2011 and hoping that it brings prosperity and happiness to not only my own personal life, but to you, the reader. I hope 2011 brings you things that will shape your life for the better. Remember mistakes happen, but they define you to become better in your future.

WOW! I just rediscovered my childhood...

I practically grew up on cartoons. Sunday through Saturday, I would watch the likes of Nickelodeon, CN, WB, etc like it was a religion. Of all the cartoons I watched, there was always something special about anime that caught my eye..

Was it the Art Style? Characters? Story? HOW ABOUT ALL OF THE ABOVE!!!

Some of my all-time favorites would have to be: Cowboy Bebop, Rurouni Kenshin, Gundam Wing....who am I kidding that list could go on for paragraphs and still wouldn't be complete!! But through just casually YouTubing...I stumbled upon one that I haven't seen in years (literally)...

OUTLAW STAR!!!!

It's been so long I can barely remember the storyline by heart so you know what that means? Yes, I'm going to watch the entire series back over. Anyone that watched Toonami back in the day OR is just a fan of anime has at least heard of this series.

With a total of 24 episodes and the way I can watch quickly...I'm going to try and watch it in it's entirety before the New Year. Can I do?

Let's make a New Year Resolution....

and then totally forget it after 30 minutes because we're shitty drunk. I can't be the only one this happens, it's just not possible. I can't even remember my 2010 resolutions..but I do remember screaming "This is the 1st Shit/Piss/??? of 2010" every other second.

For this year I'm not really sure what resolutions I'll make. I'm sure I will get some, but I'm pretty sure I won't follow them OR they just won't come true during the 365 days of torture (more if it's a leap year).

Here's a Tentative List:
1) Raise my GPA to something respectable.
People that sleep in classes have higher GPAs than me...

2) Get my License.
It's been 2 years since I've gotten my permit. I just need to find someone (a.k.a "Dope") to let me drive their car for the test.

3) Be more open and raise my Self-Esteem.
I've worked on it in the past and it has DRASTICALLY improved, but I don't feel I'm at the point I want to be yet.

4) Focus more on school.
I'm hoping to catch up on the semesters I took low numbers of credits.

And the "Typical" Resolution:
Find a Significant Other lol (How Cliche)
I'm not going to lower the standards, but damn it, I'm pretty sure I'm the pickiest person people would know lol

Will these resolutions come true? Who knows...what I do know is I turn 21 on April 12th and I will be bottles deep that weekend lol that'll be fun I know it.

Hopefully resolutions that you have will be good and you'll stick to them. One of these years I will be at NYC for this...or some other country that drops a ball at midnight.

Just doing some thinking...

Just looking back on these past years, from graduating H.S to going out on my own to now being a junior in college, I can say I'm proud of where I am. Of course certain things/events could differ in how they shaped my life, I'm content on how they unfolded and how they molded me to the person I am today.

Through all the influences on today's youths and young adults, I can say I have persevered to be my own person. I'm always looked at by many as a person someone can talk to or easily trust. I credit that to the way I've been brought up. It's not always easy to have other people's sensitive social life matters entrusted in you. Many a times I've said to myself, "How can they trust me with something this important and personal?". I'd guess I would just have to chalk it up to say that I'm just a trust worthy person that is genuine in this world full of "fake/dishonest" people.

I wouldn't say I have many friends that I could divulge information to (only 3 come to mind), but I can say I have the utmost faith in them that they wouldn't differ their perceptions of me as a person.

This would be one of those moments of "Self-Realization" that so many college students have. The brutal impact of society dropping the reality bomb on them. Still at 20 years of age, questions like "What am I going to do with my degree?" , "Where do I want to work?", etc still come to mind. I do know that I want to be successful in whatever life may take me, while still maintaining that trust factor that people have taken to align me with. Those two desires alone I hope, will keep me motivated in becoming the man I want to be someday.

The Ultimate Post

There's nothing to see here move along. Unlike everyone else who couldn't wait to go home for the break..I stayed in my apartment until wed...why you ask? Because there's no internet at my house, I can't take my 360/TV home, and my phone is still currently "Out of Service". These all add up to me really NOT wanting to go home.

It's not all bad though, I can spend time with my parents. Which is very relieving, but at the same time, it'll get old after 3 weeks of it. I think everyone can agree when you're in college and not at home all the time, sure the first couple of days are pretty relaxing, but after a week or two...it just gets old lol

This'll be my last post for a few weeks (Unless I find wi-fi or my parents order internet service). I'll see all of you in the year 2011, were all is well, world peace is achieved, and racial matters don't exist. Okay now back to reality lol

I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!

Hope is for the weak...and I'm so weak.

I need Earl Bennett, WR for Chicago Bears, to have a CAREER day and get 40+ points tonight for me to get into the championship. Wishful thinking? Yes. Very Unlikely? Very. I will have to say Brett Favre playing again makes me feel Bart Starr is going to come back next week for Green Bay if Rodgers isn't in again. The whole flynn disaster of yesterday pretty much killed any hopes I had of an upset. Anyway, I'm hoping for a rather entertaining game....and wishing Favre's arm will go WITH the ball for once.

(P.S: I'm on day 6 of "No Cell Phone" and it's killing me. I have people to text and people to call!. UGH!)

Name Change? wut.

I decided to change the name of the blog. Something more unique. I'll be changing the layout again to suit it so (hopefully) it will work better. If you're a reader, please subscribe :D

Tim Tebow = Cancer to Fantasy Football

I play Fantasy Football like my life depends on it. It's not healthy. Don't judge me. I have two teams going this week in the semi-finals and one of them I've basically blown my line-up so the L is coming fast like a fat chick running for a McD's 2 for 1 sale.

In my other, I'm down 251.40 to 186.81. I'm fairly sure I can come back (Jennings, Jackson, Bennett, and Green-Ellis still need to play), but I FUCKING HATE TIM TEBOW!! Outside of his running ability, this kid's throwing mechanics remind me of a mix of Tommy Maddox and Bryon Leftwich...just clumsy and remedial. If I lose this match because A) Tebow plays good and B) Because Rex Grossman decided to channel his inner Joe Montana and went OFF @ Dallas, I don't know what I'll do, but I know someone is going to get vented to and endure my tirade of anger.

For once this season, I can actually cheer for my Stillers since I have no one playing in the game. Jets suck, but damn it, Rex Ryan is entertaining to see. If Frosty the Snowman was a cursing fat slob of a NFL coach, he'd be Ryan.

(Oh and yeah...I re-discovered my childhood last night...I've been playing Pokemon Gold since 11pm last nite. Don't judge.)

formspring.me

Go ahead and ask me something, I'll answer everything (almost) http://formspring.me/PYLON567

Anticipation: 1 Corbin: 0

I was going to attempt to not look at my microbiology grade but I could resist it....and I got a C. I fully expected this so it didn't really matter. Even if I would've gotten an A on the final it would've only bumped me up to a C+ or B- with the curve. Overall, I think I could've done better in HRIM, but the class really caught me off guard and I couldn't catch up at all. I may have to retake it since I need a "C" or higher for HRIM 330, which I need and is basically cooking in a kitchen the whole semester.

Other than that, today was good. I ended up going walking to Wal-Mart for some blueberries so I could have pancakes tomorrow morning. I do need to know why exactly people allow there kids to run amuck in that store? I went to the produce and there was a kid fully eating grapes, another throwing apples, and one was completely naked. I couldn't make that up if I tried LOL but alas I bought what was needed then decided to be generous and donate $10 to the Salvation Army people outside. I actually felt VERY good afterwards knowing that money would go to someone less fortunate.

To wrap up, I'm just going to finish all this laundry and order something to eat eventually. B and Justin are in the living room with "Mary Jane" playing GTA IV, so that'll be pretty entertaining to see haha peace people!

You're not missed Fall 2010 Semester..

I swear these past months have felt like YEARS with this semester, so happy it's over. I've gotten 3 of my grades back so far and it's pretty much what I expected (A-, B, D) and hopefully my microbiology comes back as a C..and with the way I winged that final...I have no idea lol

Everyone is gone now in the APT so it's creepy as fuck. I don't know if I feel like staying here until Tuesday-ish, but since there's no internet at my house, I'll try to get everything I need ordered to go there. Hello $377 for rented books...like I'm spending a cool grand on books that won't even get me 25% of that back.

I'm phone-less too so it sucks ass. Not like anyone attempted to talk to me outside of a select few before, but damn it, I WANT MY PHONE ON!! The family is transitioning so I suppose it's inevitable that it'd be turned on. Hopefully it can be back on soon since I have the urge to text anything with a cell phone.

I'm dreading getting that exam back though. If go into an exam and you skip the 1st question...then the 2nd...and so on? Yeah it was one of those lol I just hope it's higher than 60% and that's asking for a miracle. I don't understand why professors word exams in ways that will confuse you and add to the anxiety you already have...it's like they get a kick out of it..

But anyway, going to finish watching this Ottawa-Colorado game and attempt to play Black Ops....that game just pisses me off. It's like a woman, you like her so you're always around her, but some little things she does annoys you. ACK!

Another day in the books

Did absolutely nothing. Slept all day. I love the end of semesters!! I'm still waiting on my CHEM grade but I hope it's the B I was looking for. Got my NUTR 360 grade earlier and.........it was an A-!! I'll take it since there's a better chance of me flying than get another A in anything ever again. Although I do hate waiting ALL WEEK for ONE final on a friday, hopefully it won't put a damper on the start of my break.

In other news, I ended up watching the last event of WEC before there merger with the UFC, and I have to say, the cards are going to LOADED once they actually start implementing these fights. So much talent is in the WEC and putting it with the UFC is basically like the WHA-NHL merger a few decades ago.

Overall, pretty dece day. The apartment is quiet as hell and it creeps me out that I may be here for a few more days (or until I feel like getting a bus ticket), but it beats not having A) No Internet at Home B) Not having my 360/TV or C) Doing nothing at home for another week.

9 DAYS UNTIL XMAS!!! :D

I need more sleepp!

How is it that I can wake up at 1pm and still be tired? Oh yeah I was up until 4am... Luckily, Jess came over and decided to heat up a "Goodbye" Burrito from Chipotle..OK! Now that gave me a excuse to get a ride to the UPS store before I get charged for my Chegg books.

Now I'm about to go to sleep and I may decide to pop my "happy pill" and study more Microbiology, even though I know that final is going to be a PAIN! Anyway back to sleep I go.

Where Do I Start?

Well one things for certain I'm still alive right?! I've decided to make a blog to vent about the little things that happen during my days, whether it be something huge or something that doesn't even need to be talked about...It'll all be here. I hope this can be a better medium than the "multiple" facebook status that crowd people's feeds and walls lol
